Energy Education and Literacy Grants Funding is for education, awareness and literacy programs to help build and strengthen community energy resilience, and help communities prepare for and recover after a severe weather event or outage.
Applications can come from a single organisation or those working in partnership with other organisations.
Grant amount

$5-25k per grant inclusive of GST
- One grant awarded per organisation per grant round
What we will fund
- Learning and development resources, multi-media, communications and promotional campaigns or community forums to educate community members about using energy wisely
- Resources and tools that help communities prepare for and respond to an electricity outage - for example, how to prepare for and where to go during an outage or severe weather event, and what support services are available in their local area. This could also include what resources local residents have they are willing to share with their community members
- Short courses or programs on maintaining energy resilience equipment, such as generators
- allocation for specialists to deliver energy education or resilience programs.

- Regional peak bodies and associations
- Councils in AusNet's electricity distribution network
- Applications can come from a single organisation or those working in partnership with other organisations
